The Art of Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a traditional Chinese medicine practice that involves inserting very fine needles into specific points on the body to stimulate energy flow, known as “Qi,” and support the body’s natural healing processes.

It is commonly used to relieve pain, reduce stress, balance hormones, and promote overall wellness by improving circulation and nervous system function.

Collagen Induction Therapy | Wound Healing Physiology

Facial acupuncture creates tiny, controlled micro-injuries in the skin using fine needles, which triggers the body’s natural wound healing response. This process stimulates the production of collagen and elastin—proteins essential for firm, smooth, and youthful-looking skin. Over time, increased collagen helps reduce fine lines, improve skin texture, and restore elasticity.

Gua Sha

Step Two

Gua Sha has been practiced for over 2,000 years, with its roots in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). It was originally used on the body to relieve pain, fever, and inflammation. In recent years, it has been adapted for facial rejuvenation, becoming popular for its ability to improve skin tone, reduce puffiness, and create a natural, lifted appearance without invasive procedures.

Facial Massage

Step Three

Deep facial massage is a therapeutic technique that targets the deeper layers of facial muscles and connective tissue to release chronic tension, improve circulation, and enhance skin health. Two of the key muscles often addressed are the masseter and pterygoid muscles—both of which play major roles in jaw movement and are common sites of tension, especially from stress, teeth grinding (bruxism), or TMJ dysfunction.

  • The masseter, one of the strongest muscles in the body, is located along the jaw and is heavily involved in chewing. When tight, it can contribute to jaw pain, headaches, and facial tension.

  • The pterygoid muscles, located deeper within the jaw near the cheekbones, are often overlooked but can cause significant discomfort and restriction when tense.

Step Four

Applying a Korean hydrating sheet mask helps deeply moisturize and soothe the skin by delivering concentrated ingredients like hyaluronic acid or botanical extracts directly through a sealed barrier, leaving the skin plump, refreshed, and radiant.

Vitamin C masks brighten the complexion, even skin tone, and support collagen production, helping fade dark spots and protect against free radicals.

Collagen masks hydrate and temporarily firm the skin, giving it a smoother, more youthful appearance.

Hyaluronic acid masks provide intense hydration, plump fine lines, and strengthen the skin barrier, making them ideal for dry or sensitive skin.
